We use quality components: Starting with the G19 Cast Manifold and CNC downpipe mated to a TDO4 Turbo, braided oil lines, M-Tech intercooler system and topped off with ME221 Engine Management.
We aim for an OEM looking finish to your engine bay (just see the images) – whether that be our tidy cable and oil line management, perfect TIG welded intercooler setup, or the finishing touches like our custom oil breather and RamAir inlet filter.
Having our in-house dyno, and one of the designers of the ME221 on the team means that a full calibration can be carried out. This means a safe tune, not a basemap, with full printouts and feedback being available – all while keeping the MX-5 as reliable as day one!
Of course its driving it that matters, be that releasing optimum power under boost safely, or just an OEM behaved low speed idle, cold start, and warmup. With your consent, we road test every car for 3-5 days after the dyno session – ensuring perfect performance under all types of driving. Going the extra mile by definition!
Maybe you fancy having variable boost, or a nice stainless system to compliment the build? A couple of extra gauges? No problem. We can cater the build anyway you see fit, and we have a range of fixed-price optional upgrades – from clutches through to fully forged engines!
We carry out three conversions a month, and are getting more and more popular, with over 200 conversions already under our belts. We often have a two month lead time so be sure to get in touch early…. Conversions typically take two weeks to complete as this allows us ample time for road test and QC. I drove in quite sad with my badly mapped turbo mx-5 and dove out with a sweet little pocket rocket i never realised tuning could make such a difference but she’s now an animal!
